Mokkarameh owned a cow. She was extremely fond of it. Every day she fetched grass from a long way off for it. One day her children secretly decided to sell the animal.To overcome her deep grief, she started to paint pictures on anything she could, on walls of the house, pumpkins, fridge door … .On his monthly visits from Tehran, her son began to bring her paper & paint and the old woman painted away tirelessly. All her pictures portrayed her life, as well as the stories of her husband’s other wives and the village women.
